The Story

This superb Single Malt is one of the world’s oldest. Distilled in 1987, the year of the All Blacks first Rugby World Cup triumph, this vintage has been ageing in oak barrels for 27 years, quietly softening and sweetening into the delicate and delicious dram it is today. Rugby fans note: this was NOT aged in French Oak!

Notes

Nose  Clean and vibrant, with citrus on the nose.
Taste lemon rind marmalade, a big chile hit, some dark chocolate and raisin, and a sharp woody, pleasant conclusion.
Finish It has a particularly smooth and elegant finish.
