About Us

Distilling in New Zealand goes back to the earliest Scottish settlers in 1838, a time when the distilling industry thrived in New Zealand, particularly in Dunedin and the surrounding Otago region. By the 1870s, government influence saw many close down.
Oamaruvian

The Oamaruvian

The Oamaruvian Cask Strength is now available as a bold & beautiful single malt whisky.

After maturing in ex-bourbon barrels, the Oamaruvian has gained a beautiful rusty red, burnt umber colour while ageing in NZ pinot noir barrels. Finished off in an ex-merlot / syrah cask. 

With rich flavours of Christmas cake, spices and madeira – this single malt whisky is bold and heavy – yet elegant.
